My art begins with the premise that I am transforming
a blank space in the world into a beautiful space. I hope that its beauty
is both energizing and contagious. My creation is meant to exist beyond the
four edges of paper or canvas on which it is presented. The visual is just
the conduit of the idea. Therefore, the picture may be of a butterfly, but
the art is about metamorphosis. Or the picture may be of a turtle, but the
art is about patience. My truest intention is to find a place within my viewers
where my art can resonate & become
alive and transformative in some way. The viewer can then take whatever they
experience and share that energy with anyone they encounter.
